Two Old Poems Found

BINDED IN EARTH

What spell is woven in the bowels of the earth?
What strange dreams does it throw up?
Through time and tendrils crawl and creep,
soar and sun and dark and deep.

Waves and iron eat the shadows,
crested red it rolls in shallows.
A world as old as this is burning,
in you! crashing, blooming, dying,
living, breathing, boom and belching
what crawls forth and spreads its vision?

VESSELS OF ESCAPE

We build vessels of escape
from leafy love banks sublime.
Rescue missions all memories store,
a last remedy while the world crumbles,
shrinking around our shrine of awakening.
The web spreads, the world falls,
plummets to one side,
a discarded component
of our fiery ascent.
